woah, is that a 506xx with a double-pleat?
I thought they were all triple pleats. NRA patch is cool, for sure.

First time posting. I respect the knowledge of the members on this forum and even though I've been a denim fanatic for many years I have to defer to those wiser than myself with this request. I picked up these jeans a few weeks ago from a vintage shop. They were on a shelf with a ton of other jeans of different ages but I could see these were different because of the selvage edge, doughnut buttons etc. I've researced them little and know they could be a pair of war time 501 XXX but I also have some doubts. I've found some images of 42-47 501 copies that were made in Japan in the 90's. Any thoughts or advice would be great thanks Guys! |

Don't judge me because I'm new...I'm old.

The wear on those looks a bit artificially enhanced to me although I could be wrong. Could we see a photo of the back of the top button please?

^My thoughts exactly, both whiskering and combs look pre-distressed

pre-distressed for sure.
the amount of indigo loss and wear&tear doesn't match with the condition of threads, tab, arcs etc.. |
