I find that my feet slide around in my RW pecos, more than heel slip, whereas my Flat Head engineer are more planted, feet do not slide around in them.
Does this improve with wear? Sometimes it feels like I’m “kicking the boots off “ when walking

The RW Pecos last doesn’t really work for my feet either; the toe box is a bit too narrow but the heel is very wide.

Sounds like the same issues as me!
It's like I need to glue my heel in.
Flat Head engineers definitely better to walk in, I imagine part of it is the smaller fit/less heel slip, too. Will see how the Lofgren fit, might end up putting them for sale (9D Natural CXL) because I'd rather get a pair of Attractions that Atsushi (or the owner of Black Sun HK) is eager to sell and ship to USA :) |

Exact same problem for me with Lofgrens. Too wide at the heel, I slide around like I'm wearing flip flops.

I was quite sceptical about the heels in my Lofgrens when i bought them, but over time they evolved perfectly. I was also all over the place in them. Understandably, it's a mighty big risk, with the kinda cash you put down on a pair of high-end engineers. Sure gave me a couple of sleepless nights!

Seems like the opposite of Rolling Dub Trio lasts! RDTs seem to have a super narrow heel and arch area, and wide toe-box

I had the same foot slip in my red wing pecos and Lofgren. Too bad neither of the lasts worked for me.

To be fair, slip on boots should have some heel slip. I dare say that if there’s no slip, they’re too small.

Even my Role Clubs have a little bit of slip. They fit the best of all my engineers though.
