I saw this pair on YJ. Anyone know any more about the ones he does with the arcs? http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p611588274

They look great but im not sure they are all as first appears, there have been a few models with arcs which weren't sold to the general public, usually just friends and family and on first impressions i thought these could be one of those but they are an old model (possibly a 47) 49's brand which i don't think were stitched by the boy-wonder and the arc stitch looks like a slightly different colour to the other threads...Hmmm i do like the look of them but if you look closely at the last photo there has been some kind of repair/mod near the tab and arcs, could be worth a punt but not at 24000¥

Also Ive noticed a few pairs of jeans recently on YJ with very well executed yet 'home made arcs'

For instance

Another wash, this time in the machine. About 6 months of wear so far.

Thank you! I really enjoy wearing these, I foresee a pair of 1947s in my future that's for sure.

Looking good flash!

Here's an update of my size 34" 1946's. Ive been wearing them for the last few months in the evenings and weekends, nice loose summer jeans.
I put the knee through some time ago which i patched and darned, i also split the arse seem in a splits contest with some kids which i repaired (i didn't win) appropriately large summer cuffs and ive been stopping my bike by pressing the right leg against the tyre hence the black mark, i should really consider buying new brake pads.

I'll give them a wash in a few weeks and update with some detail pics, they are rather grimey.

^ They look great, lovely fades and some substantial indigo loss. I don’t how you do that in the less abraded areas like the lower legs, excluding the makeshift brake parts of course!
