Saw some of the eco pics on IG a few weeks ago. Denim looked great. How has the fit evolved? 18oz denim right?

I think his DWC pair is the 18 oz. if those are the ones you are referencing.  The denim and wear on that pair is beautiful.  The denim I got is a ~15 oz. red cast (he has a green cast of the same) Japanese denim using Zimbabwe cotton. I have been very happy with the amount of stretch I have gotten in them.  Maybe .5" in the thigh and very little if any more than that in the waist.  Since It was a custom pair that I personally provided all the measurements on I wasn't banking on stretch to have them fit (Iu nailed the measurements I provided) so they have worked very well.  I have larger calves so the dreaded knee bagging can sometimes be a bit more prominent as my body type seems to prop up the 'denim tents' that can develop with wear.  I definitely can't promise any DWC level fades on mine but the denim as definitely evolved away from being super inky.  Pics this weekend is my goal.

Finally had a chance to take a few pics.  First three were taken by Iu about a year ago right before he sent them to me.  The rest were taken by me today.

It was a lot of fun to work with Iu on these as he takes all suggestions/requests and runs with it.  The shape of all pockets, details, stitching, and measurements were discussed before he went to work.  Denim is a 15 Oz. red cast milled in Japan using Zimbabwe cotton.

Definitely.  Iu is incredibly detail oriented which shows in any of his jeans.  The final list of items/styling/thread colors etc. was ridiculous by the time the denim went to be cut.  I knew we had covered our bases when the questions started to be as detailed as, 'how do you want the belt loops sewn on?'.
