Ok Ladies and Gents - I have the pleasure of batting first. We have been sending some PM's with Duke during December to coordinate the starting point of this tour. I am spending the Christmas time and New Years in Southern Spain, so Duke kindly sent the parcel to my holiday address so I can 1) start the the tour on time and 2) get two rather different climates for my leg.

The parcel went to mail just before Christmas and it should be arriving any day now. To get this thread going I thought I would do "setting the scene" post.

It has been lovely winter weather in Spain - around 18-20 degrees Celsius (64-68 F). We managed to dump the kids and went to City of Malaga couple of days ago with Mrs.Denimetc. It is a highly recommended destination if you are in the South of Spain. They have done huge amount of reconstruction work in the harbour and old town of Malaga in the past 10 years. The city has many interesting Art museums such as Picasso museum (he was born and raised in Malaga), Thyssen Foundation and Museum of Contemporary Art. More recently also Pop-up museums by Centre Pompidou of Paris and Hermitage of St.Petersburg.

Great opening post Denimetc, love the pop-up Pompidou.
What a refreshing sight to see some blue sky at last - weather has been utter pants here, no people casually drinking outside without wearing heavy waterproof clothing Tongue

Let the tour begin!

Nicely done, Detc!

Dr. H- all of your rain has been making the news here, too. Try not to get washed away.
