Haven't posted in quite a while but was just noticing this thread today.

a couple years ago I finished the transformation of my 81 trek 710 pictured on the first page of this thread.

650B conversion w grand bois lierre 38s
tektro long reach brakes
compact double crankset to replace the old school dura-ace crankset ( raleigh is a hilly town and that thing had some crazy rings on it )

Handsome ride, erk!

I've recently had to swap to full upright on my Riv to compensate for some sciatica pain, but grandpa-style cycling is better than no cycling.

I make things out of leather.

had a bike build end of last year. All steel and made to measure. It's made by a guy in his shed. Started as a hobby, mine is #32. It rides great. In june i'm doing a 300km ride in Sweden around some lake there on it.

Mini-soul is 9 today and got his new (ish) BMX from Spanish bike company flybikes

The 16" BMX takes them from 5-9 and the 18" BMX takes them from 7-11 so i decided to get him a full size 20" BMX but with a smaller geometry frame for riders up to 5'4" Id rather buy something for him to grow into rather than something he's already growing out of.

I got it cheap(ish) from fleabay from a student at Nottingham college, she had bought it to get around on and never used it so it was almost brand new with the instructions booklet, spare brake ect Cool

I could have bought a better bike for the money (£130 they're around £400 new) but most BMX's on ebay have been ridded hard (as they should be) and larger frame size.
We all went for a tootle up the high peak trail today to try it out and make minor adjustments.

He seems pretty chuffed with it.

Mini-soul has outgrown this^ helmet and my friend bought him a new one for his birthday, there's nothing wrong with it and i hate throwing perfectly good things away.
If any UK bro would like it for the price of cheap postage hit me up, I think it cost me £20-25 its suitable for kids aged 5-9, bmx, skate, scoot ect...
