Such a cool shirt, I have both the blue and the white version. So comfortable and stylish at the same time. Really wish he would start making his own shirts again they always fit great....

I really would love the blue one, but this one is also nice, especially when looking at the fabric up-close.

Yeah, I've never asked directly what John's plans are for future clothing, but he does make my designs for my brand in Japan, as well as certain items for ELMC, TSPTR, and Papa Nui. The new N-1 deck vest he did for TSPTR is the same design as the one he did years back, and the ELMC shirts are also John's handiwork.

I have the shirt too Brian/Iron Horse...like all pullovers they need to be a bit on the loose side to come on/off easily. It's been a while since I tried it on. Might have to pull it out of the closet and shake it off soon. Wink

Matt, yeah this one is kind of small and I got stuck trying to take it on and off the first time I wore it; I’ll be honest, I got claustrophobic in there. You’d think years of being squashed by big dudes in judo and BJJ would have prepared me for that, but no...

I should clarify my above post too because now I’ve noticed it reads vaguely; that is I create my own designs and John helps to manufacture them in Japan.

Very happily wearing my new M-43’s that Jamie @ EastWest kindly held for me after he got his restock in

As ever you’d need to work damn hard to criticise JL footwear. The design, materials and construction are all spot on. Fit is ever so slightly more snug than the engineers but nothing to change size about

So a big thanks to my favourite footwear supplier and I’ll post pics soon (there seems to be a dearth of pics on this thread ... of pretty much any JL gear)

A 2 year old pic of my black engineers because I can’t criticise a lack of pics and then do nothing ... I’ll add some updates when I drag the camera out for the rest

Oh the beloved sizing question. Hug
I'm thinking about picking up the new horsehide engineers that S&S announced and I'm debating if I should go with an 11.5 or 12.
For reference I'm a 11.5 in the Viberg 2045 last (my favorite fitting boots), I have a pair of Viberg engineer boots that are just a touch big in size 12 but fit well with an insole and thicker socks.
Size 12 in the RW 9874's as well as a pair of RW oxfords.
Alden TruBalance 11.5 and another pair of narrow lasted Aldens (can't recall the name) in 11.5 that are too narrow and don't get much wear.
I bought my RW 9874's from Neil at S&S and he suggested that I should likely get the same size, recommended a size 12 and the fit well. So I'm leaning towards a 12 in the new engineer boots but I just wanted to see if anyone else had some suggestions or insight before I have a go at it.

Broak, although I own a pair of Lofgrens and did well with sizing up by a half from my normal size (no choice, really, there was nothing smaller than a 6), I am sure one of the bigger-footed Bros will have better advice for you.   That said, I have previously put my faith in Neil's sizing advice and came out a winner.

I just wanted to say those boots will be beautiful beyond compare.  July 2019 will see some "fresh from the box" pics from you, yes? Approve

I’m a 9 in the Viberg 2045 last and a 9.5 in JL engineers
