Here is my recent pickup.  I was after the Freewheelers Pullman wabash jacket but was sold out by the time I emailed, so I mentioned that I regreted not getting the Lofgren/HeritageResearch shirt too and.....

^^^ I don't think he has it in any quantity.  He said he had two and this was one of them and the other I think he said was an XL.  They run a little big for a Lofgren shirt because this is a S and I normally fit into a Lofgren M, so I got lucky.

The Ashida shirt is kasuri and it's pretty stiff at first. Kasuri primarily is used in Japanese farmer clothing, noragi, and monpe etc. Surprisingly thick too.

Slab2, yes I'm an xxl in John's shirts. He said they were out of everything but xl in the Freewheelers White Pepper but did not say what he had left in the Ashida. Because I couldn't get the first one I wanted but immediately switched my order over, John very kindly split the shipping cost with me. A nice gesture on his part.
He did say that the Ashida cloth is washed before being made up into the shirts so under cold wash/hang dry conditions there will be virtually no shrink. The Freewheelers are raw and from my experience did shrink a little when machine washed cold/hang dried.

I love Moto Leather's stuff. Been meaning to pick up a pair of those pecos myself. How does your wife like them?

She likes them a lot. They're a pretty narrow shaft, so she struggled with them at first (actually I struggled to pull them off for her!. She got em on with the plastic bag trick). But they've loosened up now, and she says they're very comfortable.

They look great. The color definitely stands out, in a good way. Her one-wash denim has left some healthy denim stains. I think raw denim would probably turn them fully blue!

I'm dreaming of John Lofgren doing a Pecos version of his engineers in brown roughout (no buckles, straps, stormwelt, and leather soles with a squared or narrow toe and boot straps).

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe even a horsehide pecos boot. I'm about to jump on the moto pecos in brown for myself. Thanks for the info. Those Lofgren boots are really nice looking too. I think it's cute that you both wear boots of similar color.

Similar color, very different sizes! She's wears the smallest Moto makes, and I the largest of the Lofgrens.
I'd like a pair of the MOTO pecos (or any MOTO), but they don't do my size......

They're are 3 different brown pecos, I think. Are you going for Brown CXL? Or the calf? Or the "waxing up"?
They may use different welts. I think the CXL are Good year welted.

Really like the contrast stitching on the Brown CXL.
