Hey brothers, I just purchased this very nice mint condition JcPenny's Ranchcraft pleated denim jacket. I absolutely love it and am positive it's going to break in like a champ, but it's too short on me due to my families genetically long torsos.

Really beautiful vintage lightweight redline indigo selvedge denim

snap front. snaps embossed with JcPenny's 'Ranchcraft'

would fit a short guy who wears a large or someone who wears a medium

I paid 30 for it shipped and I can't return it since it was my mistake by miscalculating the length I needed. I'll take 20 for it shipped within the lower 48 via Priority Mail.

(if you look up the jacket itself you'll see that they go for quite a bit more on both eBay and vintage sites like Rustyzipper etc.

Measurements are:

Shoulder to Shoulder: 21"

Pit to pit: 22.5"

Pit to bottom of cuff: 20"

Bottom of collar down back to tail: 22"

pics are at my blog here: http://popculturearcheologist.blogspot.com/ (tried to get shots of the selvedge lines and the snaps, but they came out like garbage....)

use the macro setting on your camera and irfanview or photobucket to adjust. I like that jacket but I can't see shit. From here I have no idea if it's a ranchcraft or just a generic  penneys superdenim from the 70s. Also, so often the 'selvage' on Penneys pieces is not narrow selvage but the crazy wide loomed stuff that is less desirable.

I am not trying to be a jerk, but if the jacket is as cool as you are making it out to be lets seem some pics.

I'll get on taking new pictures ASAP and thanks for the selvedge tip, it definitely looks like the wider loomed variation you mentioned. the buttons all say ranchcraft on 'em i'll work on getting a clearer picture tonight!

And to Hooligan, I wish I had waited I JUST bought a new Type 2 for myself. How much are you asking, though?

they don't go for much as they're not near as popular as levis or lees, but I bet you don't see many guys in them though.

Probably in the 30-40 range...

Hows the length?

Would you do 35 shipped for it?

if so (and it doesn't sound like it will be too short on me), I'm your man!

Okay, I took pictures of the selvedge, the only 'bad' button in the bunch which is the second down from the collar that's got a little splash of rust and yellow staining on it, and one of the pocket buttons. You can see the ranchcraft logo best in the 'bad' button pic, oddly enough!

I'd feel better at 40 shipped.
I'm a 44 long in most jackets and it fits me to a tee...

That's a fair enough price, but lookin' at your pic makes me thing that even that size is going be way to short on me. Like, female cropped baby-doll short.

I think i'll have to pass :(

I think you might just want a modern jacket.  All the old ones were shorties like that.  Just do what they used to and hike your britches up to your belly button.  Wear an old high-rise outfit around for awhile and the current low-rise trend will feel weird.  Because it is.
