Would love any input regarding the value, how to sell, and also any tweaks to the date.  Pics are at http://imgur.com/gallery/Xp1Oa   I base the date on the chain stitching on hem is 1933 on, no red tab and exposed back pocket rivets are pre 1937.  They are in great condition though the leather label is mostly gone.  My 90-year old dad is cleaning out his old stuff and indicated they are my uncle's from the 40s or 50s, though he was just guessing.

@Greeperfierce.
Firstly, welcome.
Secondly, holy moly, what a find!! The condition is incredible! Almost too good to be true to find such a rarity, and a family heirloom to boot!

Anyway, you have the date nailed down (1927/8-1935 roughly going by your pics).

If the waist size is 32-36, and the inseam isnt shorter than say, 30" minimum, you have yourself a valuable pair of Levis 501's.

Congrats!

(not jealous one bit)

Thanks, I believe they are about a 33W and 32 inseam based on just trying them on.

Wowzas.

I'll give you $200 for them?

Joking.
Seriously though, Marvins and Berberjin have sold similar condition 501's for $20k or more.

Get them insured!!

@Greeperfierce

Thanks for sharing your wonderful find. Could l ask you (before they disappear into a collection?) - would you mind taking more pics of them? Some random details would be great ( buckle etc..), but also inside the pants? Rarely do we get a chance to view something like these!

[edit]
Looked at your pics again. Love those lighter-weight denim belt loops.

Absolutely.  I turned them inside out and took some close-ups for you.  Here is the album: http://imgur.com/gallery/5U7m8

You just made my weekend mate. Many thanks!

The buckle, is it a "solide"?
