Really nice score on the 501XX Borlack - although they are/were made 1958-1963/4, as opposed to early 50's.

Got any more older pairs?

Dr_Heech- I don't have any more older pairs of denim..... Yet! I'm always on the hunt. I recently found a mint condition GWG Cowboy Kings Jacket from the mid 50's in deadstock condition and flipped that last month. Here's the link - http://imgur.com/a/NJGKO

I found out more info about the Naval jeans yesterday. I took them to the Military antique shop in downtown Victoria and the guy there told me that they're authentic Canadian Naval pants that probably never got to see action and were stored in someones closet all these years.

The stamp that says "WOODS" represents an outdoor gear manufacturer based out of Vancouver. Woods makes all kinds of camping and outdoor gear... I've seen their stuff in stores my whole life but I never put 2 and 2 together! They're been around since 1885. Here's their current website of WOODS http://woods.ca/en/

The guy at the shop told me he's never seen anything like the two pairs I have. He told me that he sold a Canadian "Woods" jacket on eBay about a year ago for about $300 Canadian to a guy in Japan. He said I should put them up for auction and open up to worldwide shipping and see how high they go.... I'll probably start the auction at $100CAD. Since I only paid $6.99 a pair, I can't really lose.

Now I have to take pictures and post the auction when I can find time in the coming weeks.

I thoroughly love the research aspect of a thrift find... Especially vintage obscure denim. It's so amazing to hold a mint condition piece of Canadian history in my hands and find out the story behind them.
