I couldn't get past why the Empire needed to go through all that fuss to find the plans to reveal the flaw in the death star. They should have just looked around for it!

The rebel alliance consist of a group of very British squadron leader types who wouldn't look out of place in Dambusters "Tally-Ho Old Chap" the other ensemble is akin to Monkey (Magic) lead by a Zatoichi blind swordsman fellow, to top it off a wisecracking robot reminiscent of Metal Mickey. It even has its own "My name is Inigo Montoya Jyn Erso you killed my father" moment, ..and here ends Double 0,s film review of the week. Anyone else had the pleasure?

Just saw it two days ago. Apart from the pretty bad CGI done on two characters I quite enjoyed it. I just wish the had left out that silly droid cameo which the Force Awakens seemed to filled with.
It felt more like a Star Wars inspired war movie which is a nice change. No magic Jedi stuff for once and also a pretty diverse cast.

Medaclorians i can accept but i refuse to believe is that all the tech is universally compatible, WTF!, i couldn't even export an old address book from Outlook on XP to Windows10 ne'er mind bloody Deathstar plans.
Any amateur physicists on board care to explain the quantum mechanics (in layman's terms) regarding how the ships come out of light speed to an immediate stop, String theory maybe? The Falcon was never fitted with these air brakes...

As a layman not particularly interested in sci-fi and definitely not a Star Wars nerd, I enjoyed the film. I took the kids to see it last week at London's Science Museum (biggest 2-D imax screen in the country!) where we saw The Force Awakens last year. I thought this was better than the last one, it seemed a bit grittier. Come on everyone, it's just a film so stop being an amateur Magnus Pike, suspend your disbelief and enjoy it!

We're off to Panto tonight "Oh yes we are" im having my doubts, i mean are we supposed to believe that a beanstalk can support a structurally sound castle a giant and a giantess, it doesn't even have foundations for heavens sake. The giants buildings insurance must be astronomical.

I went to panto a couple of weeks ago. Kate Moss was sitting a couple of rows in front of me and Will Self a few rows further ahead. Who'd have thought that possible?

I dont think its that far fetched 00. I actually found a few star wars engineers to ask. Maybe we catch them on their lunch break?
