I'm off Netflix and on Amazon Prime. Watched a few episodes now of The Man in the High Castle. Great idea, great clothes, but still unsure of acting and plot.

There was one designer in the movie, a large bearded man wearing an old chore jacket, that reminded me of Trump as he extolled his sneaker line as the best in every way.  They had a strap and lock across the ankle, and I wish I coulda told him just how tacky and low class his product looked.

Haven't seen it setterman but Yes, it is one hell of an ugly scene.
Back in the early 90,s i used to collect vintage (70's) runners, MiJ or MiA Cortez, Boston, Waffles ect which were picked up then for not a lot of dosh, most collectors in the UK at this time were football/casual types who were collecting Adidas/European trainers.

I'd say, around late 90,s early 00,s  the scene changed from friendly 'oneupmanship' to at the very least 100x more stomach-churning than the MF thread at its covetous worse.
The culprit being 'the internet' which gave aggressively avaricious people a platform and to a lesser extent cooperate manipulation mixed with the grey market.

I saw it coming and it repulsed me enough to move the collection, i just didn't feel comfortable being any part of it and when i say collection this was less than 20pairs. I have kept a glancing eye on the scene and i think it peaked around 2008 circa economic collapse.
I still consider those early offerings from Nike design classics and wish i hadn't been quite so impetuous.

If it's not already been mentioned, can I highly recommend Spotless.

I won't tell you much about it but it's very dark at times.

I watched the 13th documentary on Netflix last night. It was particularly sobering in light of recent events. Highly recommended. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

The most recent available season of The Walking Dead was pretty grim and depressing at the end, but suddenly it doesn't seem so bad.

So, recommended.

Curious. Any bros across the pond watching The Crown on Netflix? Thoughts?
