There is no way to keep up with all the good stuff on Netflix, or if there is I struggle with finding good movies to watch.

Anyways, what should we be watching?

I recently caught up on season one of Portlandia. I thought it was 'OK', but not near as good as all my friends had told me they thought it was.

Also, just saw Netflix has Anthony Bourdain 'No Reservations', I'd seen a ton of episodes when we still had cable... but it's nice to have a backlog on hand to watch too.

so yea, what do y'all suggest?

They have every episode of Carl Sagan's Cosmos.

Troll Hunter - All Norwegian, I found it a very nice attempt at sharing Norwegian culture
Patton - Watch George C. Scott and Karl Malden set during WWII, quite entertaining
Apocalypse Now - Based upon Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, a stunning movie. Watch it before they take if off instant watch on the 1st of Febuary.

Not sure if it's available on Netflix, but one of my favorite all timers (apart from the usual popular/classics) is " Donnie Darko".

Respec' to you Erk - Peep show was a big hit here!  A sort of modern version of 'Not the nine o'clock news' (1980's)

Read 'Heart of darkness' way back at art college, great read!

I second cLavin- Trollunter is pretty awesome. Evil Dead also just turned up on WI, as well as Dario Argento's Inferno, a personal favorite. Death by cat pelting!

trollhunter was great. I would also recommend that.

anyone else got anything cool they've seen on instant watch?

if you're a Rolling Stones fan, you gotta check out "Stones in Exile" I dont know if its still available on instant, but it was oh so good.

dr heech - I never thought about "Peep Show" being a big hit in england, but I dont know why, I guess the thought never crossed my mind. it definitely deserves it. I'll have to see if I can find "not the 9'o'clock news" somewhere.

Winter's Bone- fuckin awesome, so good. Oddly not as depressing as you would think given the subject matter. Has about every under-rated character actor in LA including John Hawke, Dale Dickey & Sheryll Lee (Laura Palmer).

Quarantine 2: Terminal- sounds crappy from the title, but actually a pretty decent classic Romero-style zombie pic with above average acting.

Salvage: a British horror film with a somewhat lack-luster plot but good cinematography, some genuinely creepy moments, and superb acting.

Not recommended: Wake Wood- a real shit pile of a movie. The director somehow managed to completely waste two superb actors.

Trying to think of good movies I've seen recently.... Only one that comes to mind as really worth recommending is Blue Valentine.  Absolutely draining movie.
