Kapital's new Denim that will be coming out this year.

Getting away from the typical indigo twill. Reinvented denim with a new sashiko-twill. Kakishibu base, and indigo sashiko threads. Should have a life like the heavy oz denim but much more comfortable. I have been loving mine so far.

Has anyone got a pair yet?

Really intrigued by these.

Kapital makes really beautiful stuff in their kind of deconstructed way. Always great photos, too.

Nice pics.

What are 7-S?

The fabric really nicely symbolizes Japanese esthetics for me. Reminds me of my old Aikido gi.

Naked&Famous with their unusual ideas have also recently issued a jeans with a fabric in that direction. They call it Judo jeans:

the n&f ones look alittle too fanciful to begin with...though i believe they got the sashiko description right...

and ya, quite stoked about the no.7.

Yeah this looks horrible on jeans this skinny. This fabric is for wide shapes, and really not an all-over skinny pant. This is Kendo-gi fabric but I really hate what N&F does with good denim. Plus N&F didn't make this fabric, they bought it from Nihon Menpu or one of the other old dougi weavers.

I find it interesting with what kind of gimmicky ideas they come up.  I own a pair of their brown ducks which are very nice.  Most of their models seem to be aimed at a younger clientele. To each its own.

But getting back to Kapital- is 7-s a version of the Century Denim?

^ The 7s is the grey version.

I'm planning on getting a pair in brown once I can get the funds together. These will definitely be next denim purchase. I also need to get my hands on the new Kapital catalog
