Is anyone looking at these thinking about picking them up? I did enquire about sizing in the Brown & Duck Digger no. 2 but they replied advising that they haven't received sample yet to measure. The announcement seems to suggest that the no. 2 fabric is sanforised hence my feeling that they would have adjusted the cut to compensate. Anyway, for those interested, reservation has been up for a while and at a pretty attractive price too; |

Hello, Im new to this amazing forum.
Could somebody explain the difference between the Lot 1000 and the model that has 1000XX written in smaller letters above the usual "Lot 1000" on the patch. Is there a question of sanforization or what is it? Are those with just "Lot 1000" written of them sanforized even though there is a patch on them that says that the pants are made from shrink to fit fabric? Sorry if this is a stupid question but Im not that familiar with Warehouse yet. / Billy Bob

IIRC, the 1000 was introduced in 2013, replacing the 1000XX which was last made in 20111.
The 1000 is made of the same unsanforized 1000XX denim used in the 660, 700, 800, and current 1003SXX. The 900, 1001, 1001SXX, 1002, and current 1003XX use the 1001 "banner denim" I have a pair of 1003XX made in 2014, they (and all 1003XX made that season) use the 1000XX denim. There was talk of a sanforized 800 a couple years ago, but I don't think that happened. Rest assured any of the above mentioned lot numbers made in the past five years are going to shrink, and those made with the 1001 denim more so than those made with the 1000XX denim. The difference between the jean tagged 1000 and one tagged 1000(1000XX) is just how Warehouse decided to mark them that year. Edited by setterman - 14 Apr 2016 at 7:54am |

...and I think they sell almost everything in rigid and "one wash" and the latter is always a safer bet - especially when buying online.

Of the two standard denims, I prefer the 1001.

Thanks. Those are the Lot 1001, so made of the 1001 "banner denim". It's their take on late 1930s Levis denim, copied from an advertising banner from that era.
The cut of the jeans is reminiscent of an early 60s 501. Inseam shrinks down to 31 to 31.5" depending on how you measure, so they aren't very popular in the US.
