Is that water based shredwin_206? I tried the pomade before...it held, but seem to get really dry and if you ran a comb through it that was it. Even if you wet it. I'm using a mix of Suavecito Firme and Layrite Super Hold....weekends I'm using Fiber Grease.

The last few haircuts ive had have been a right f***ing hack-job!
one at a swanky barbers and one at the t'owd codgers joint. When i got
home yesterday my kid was having his haircut in the kitchen and the girl
who cuts it commented on what an awful mess my hair was and "did i want
her to cut it properly" Sod all to loose i thought?
Saying that its a bloody good cut and i could even style it half way through so she knew what i was trying to achieve. Ive given up on life haven't i? |

Normally the old fellas do a great job with classic styles. Shouldn't be a problem for most Denimbros.
I have found the young / hipster places that charge the most actually know very little - anyone can say they are a barber and they seemingly get hired based on having the right look! Something Hell's in London is where I have been going for the last 2 years, cant really be beaten for quality.

Are you hoping they'll get some indirect feedback via complaining on an Internet forum?
I know my barber doesn't have a smartphone either. I'll send my carrier pigeon around and book you an appointment. "I just want an appt, not an app!" |

Just read your mobile hairdresser post (above) from April - haha! Unfortunately they're usually friendly with your other half (who is also likely to be present in the kitchen) so you can't even gawp at them or flirt properly

A tip :
Coltrane Clay is for head hair but I've found it to be better than any moustache wax.

For a change of scenery today i went to an afro-carribbean barbers shop (lovely sense of community in there) 1st time for me and its a bloody marvelous cut! dude who cut my hair (i think was actually french speaking african) spent 45mins shaving the back and sides and then finished the cut with comb and scissors without actually touching my hair with his fingers, mad precision and all for £8, combed through olive oil to finish instead of pomade.
