This will divide opinion, but I'm really liking this, especially the camo side.

Did anyone pull the plug on the Moosewood parka this season and/or have prior experience with any of Colimbo's other parkas? The only two shops that I can preorder it from are unable to provide measurements for a size small prior to me putting down a deposit and them receiving it. This is resulting in some serious head scratching...

Ish, any abnormal fit quirks?

I don't know if I should assume the more straight forward repro pieces like the Moosewood will fit large like the originals or not. I was told by Barnstormer that most of their parkas have short sleeves?

Any insights would be much appreciated.

Colimbo garments are not large. You would have to be a fairly small guy to wear a small I think. I'm wearing a large in the St. Lawrence. It fits well, but is definitely not over large. Sleeve length is fine.

Ish, unfortunately I am very small (Tall and lanky). I pretty much wear a small in everything, extra smalls included for more traditional work wear fit shirts if I can find them. Is a large your normal size for a parka of that weight?

If the Moosewood fits similar to the B-11, then my largest concern is sacrificing sleeve length for correct chest width. Then again, I've never owned a parka that's alpaca lined, so taking that into account, I'm not sure how much in width I'd be adding to my average chest size.

Just quickly read through this thread after seeing this khaki General jacket on McFly this morning and really liking the look of it:

I'm sure it's very warm, as in too warm for my climate but it looks like a lovely jacket.
I believe Duke got one from last year, I'd be interested in some fit pics! Or just some extended thoughts after owning the jacket for almost a year.
I'm also interested in the Bethpage jacket, which McFly seems to have one more XL in beige. I think that would be a more likely choice, seeing as it's not as warm and I could see some more extended wear out of it.
All in all I really like what I see from Colimbo and am interested in getting one of their jackets someday.

It's well made Broark - lightweight, showerproof and very warm.

One niggle is the pockets - they're lined with alpaca (and very toasty) but they do tend to bulge because of the thickness of the lining. You can see the shape in your pic - it get more exaggerated when worn.

Also I find it fits smaller than equivalent FW sizes.

Thanks for the reply Duke, now that you point out the pockets it is much more noticeable.
Does that settle as the alpaca flattens at all? Then again I don't think it would really bother me too much.
I'm a little worried about the sizing, I'm a fairly big guy so I might be out of luck. I sent McFly an email asking for measurements of the XL.
