Fact.  There are less and less companies producing boot cut jeans.  I don't understand why, as not everyone likes 'skinny' jeans, me included.  Granted I can wear them, I just don't (and wont) get into that look.

I was saddened to see Levis do away with the 507 a few years ago.  That was the epitome of boot cut in my opinion.   Thanks to Ebay, I was fortunate enough to find a few pair that I have socked away, so as long as I don't stray too far from my current weight I should be ok for ev errr.

In the last few years I also found that Joe's makes some decent boot cut jeans in the 'Rocker'.  Well, now that cut has gone the way of the dodo as well.  They've discontinued the line.

I went as far as making an appointment with Levi's in San Francisco for some custom jeans.  I was surprised to find out, that you can have any custom cut you want, except, boot cuts.

Would love to hear what your favorite boot cuts are, as I can't be alone here on this topic.  I hope.

The 'saddleman' or Levi's 517 are a classic and (atleast in Oklahoma) a staple. They were my entry into jeans. Orange tab 517s fit and wear so well.

For a tough as nails slim fit you can't beat strangler , erm, Wranglers 936 DEN. They are broken twill and honestly the hardest wearing jean you'll ever buy.

Premium boot cut options are available also - the one that comes to mind is essentially custom as I believe they're made by hand and that's WH ranch. They are , or atleast were a go to for a certain afficianado of guitars, cadillacs , and hillbilly music .

I found , and wore a pair of 517s about a week or so ago-- I'll get around to posting the pic here (may have posted to waywt already ...idk)

Redlinerobert - LVC makes a reproduction of the 517 every 2-4 seasons you just have to keep your eye out for them. I highly doubt that they sell all that well and can probably be had at the end of a season or found on eBay, pretty cheap. I bet there are plenty of originals on eBay too.
I wear boots almost exclusively, under my 501's. I'm curious how big of a hem do you need or is it the aesthetics of a flare that you're after? I've never found the denim or details of the other lvc repos all that exciting. Any of the brands discussed here from say a 1900 - 1950s models all have pretty big hems that easily fit over the shaft of a boot.

I was able to find a pair of 517's on Ebay and they just came in.   They look great and fit well.  Those Samurai jeans are interesting.  How are the sizes compared to US sizing?

Levi's still makes the 517 and 527.
UES, Iron Heart and Sugarcane all have boot cut jeans.
