Dang!! That casio watch was showing. Must find something more retro. Thanks for the comment on the jacket, it is opening up a bit now since I got it from Mr Randal recently, NWOT. Now I know what all those funny letters are on my vintage bandanna - ranch brands.
I told some one here in the UK that they were Indian markings, doh!

The Elephant Brand was a NYC based company that sorta disappeared in the 70's they basically did all the discharge printing for bandanas. There are a few more companies (factories) but there isn't much information on them because they didn't use a specific logo or brand name. I am doing research part time in tracking down and trying to put a history of the bandana together. Needless to say it is really complicated. Red bandanas were the first color, then came the synthesized indigo (blue) color.

While I was in the midst of denim and mill research for the new book I ran across this definition of bandanas in an old book I am reading, hope it helps...........

Yeah they would use those discharge print presses on a sheet of 4 bandannas. I want to see one of these old presses with my own eyes to see how they used to work.
